Far Yeast x Beersonic Westbound 4th IPL 4.8% Orange gold with a fairly thick light beige head of foam. The initial aroma was bright citrusy hops then I got sweet fruit maltiness. Quite dry with a bit of citrus in the finish. Not bad and for 3-400¥ pretty good value.

Can with KBL. Nose is grape, grapefruit, cat piss, pilsner malt and acid hop. Soft and malty, strong hop acids, citrus, bit pissy, not a huge lager character but it is there. Decent.

Beer by the river listening to birds chirp, frogs croak and the breeze... Far Yeast Yakima Chief Hops Noble Triad IPA 5% Made with Mosaic, Simcoe and Citra but to evoke old world Noble hops. Golden orange with lots of foam and a herbal grassy hop bouquet which is fairly Noble hop like. Medium bodied and smooth, the flavor is a bit creamy sweet orange and mango but also herbal hops and cream of wheat. Quite nice and not what I was expecting.

Far Yeast Hop Frontier Juicy IPA 6.5% It’s got that huge juicy aroma and the look down. Nice flavor of ripe guava and mango but while it’s got a medium body it’s too dry and the taste loses something from the prickly carbonic bite. They’re called juicy IPAs as not only do they look/taste like juice they drink silky smooth like juice. A good hazy brew at about 400¥ (Rakuten) which is a banging price. I just wish more of the Japanese brewers aiming for haze cared more about the body of those beers.

Can. Nice juicy nose of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor is also super fruity, with passion fruit, orange, pink grapefruit. Juicy and well done.

Can. Deep clear red with a large pink head. Aroma of cherries and their pits, twigs, lightly soured cream. And that creaminess gives an extra dimension in the balance between sweet and sour. Dry at the end. Good.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Apparently it is released with a slightly different label, but claims dry, smooth saison. Pours translucent light gold with a humongous foamy/frothy white head. Aroma is earthy/citrus. Med body. Flavor is earthy citrus with herbaceous notes. Like cilantro. Dryish. Lightly bitter. Good flavors.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, herbaceous character, light mineral notes, pleasant hops, OK. In mouth, nice biscuit malt with grassy herbaceous hops, light fruity esters, pleasant. Bottle from Sansotei Ramen, merivale road.
