Opaque purple. Weird smell - blackcurrant, coffee and a hint of butyric that I often get from currant beers. On the palate, bracing tartness, lots of blackcurrant and more coffee. It does come across simple with those three elements, however.

Pale greyish-yellow and some haze. Just a thin head. Aroma is wheaty, lightly smoky, a bit on the yeasty side. It's tart, refreshing, wheaty, and light-bodied. The smoke rolls through gently. Good balance. Probably a little fruitiness from the H�ll Melon in there. Well-balanced. Yum.

Poured from the tap. Clear pale gold with small white head. Pine hops, spiced rye gain, light generic grain. Crisp, average.

On tap at Another Beer Co, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle smoke upfront, with a soft wheaty backbone. Flavour is tart and smoky, with a nice tart citrusy character, light lacto, and gentle smokiness that pervades it all. Smoky, tart and soft wheaty on the palate. Good stuff.

On tap at Another Beer Co, pours a fairly clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is herbal, crunchy and earthy, with lots of crunchy cabbage and earthiness. Flavour is much the same, with earthy spiciness, crunchy cabbage, and grass. Way too herbal and crunchy vegetal. Not terrible but there's nothing pleasant about this.

On tap at Another Beer Co, pours an opaque, muddy yellow with a small white head. Nose is rather earthy and muddy, with a confused citrusy, tangy hop character upfront, pulpy notes, and stone fruit pit. Flavour is juicy and cleaner than it looks, with juicy stone fruit, tangy citrus hops, and pulpy notes. The ABV is not apparent. Juicy, pulpy, not great clarity, but citrusy and gently dank in the hop department. Good, but far from excellent.

Flavour is fruity and earthy, with lots of earthy coffee grounds, jammy currants, and lacto. The odd combo works reasonably well, but it's not the wisest choice of flavours to combine, nor does the light kettle sour do much for it. Okay.

Flavour is crisp, with lots of piney hops, very spicy rye, earthiness, and crisp biscuity malt. Crisp, spicy and piney, with solid crispness. Good stuff.
