Bottle sample at Farmhouse Fest 2022, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is very acidic, with balsamic, tart dark fruits, and Worcestershire notes. Flavour is abrasive β€” this is a vinegar bomb. Balsamic, tart and harsh. Hard to drink. Not very good.

Poured from 473mL can (2022 vintage). Hazy gold with small white head. Nice light funk from the foeder, mild saison yeast, simple, but enjoyable.

Pale, hazy, lots of bright brett C and floral hops on the nose. Earthy, dry, bretty, orangey, lean pale malts and barrelly dryness. Good body and everything in balance. This is very good.

Hazy, not much head. Tart, hoppy, fairly good body. Good balance even if it’s not super exciting.

Slight haze. Gold. Thin head. Off dry, bretty, quite fruity. Not bad. Drinks well and good complexity for a beer this size.

Hazy and pale. Just a thin head. More of a phenolic aroma. Kinda sticky, again phenols, plastic. Execution not great here. It’s not undrinkable but the fermentation isn’t what it needs to be in order to nail this style. Hoppy saison that isn’t hoppy.

473mL can, pours a hazy brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart red fruits, a bit of oak, and some Belgian yeast. Flavour brings out the tart red fruits upfront, with some light esters from the yeast, and moderate oak. Not really what I think of as a dubbel, given the tartness, low carb, and not really authentic yeast expression. But it's alright overall.

On tap at The Red Accordion, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tropical fruit juice and plenty of lacto. Flavour is full of passionfruit and pineapple upfront, with a lacto base that is mostly fruited over. Juicy, only lightly tart finish. Fun.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish dark mahogany with small beige head. Bready malt, touch of toast and caramel. Simple, clean, decent.

On tap at Darby's, pours a hazy deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry bready malt, a hint of toasted caramel and light hop resins. Flavour is much the same, with dry crusty bready malt, light hoppy resins and a tiny hint of funk. Seems like a good old fashioned red here, not so much funk. Good.
