On tap at Northpaw, pours a cloudy orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt with a hint of toasted caramel. Flavour is clean enough, with bready malt and a hint of toasted caramel. Bready and clean, but pretty forgettable.

On tap at Northpaw, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, with little else to speak of. Flavour is along the same lines, with maybe a hint of toasted caramel in there. But of chicory / vegetal character. Not great.

On tap at Northpaw, pours a filthy diarrhea brown with a small white head - how is this a kolsch? Aroma is very pithy and earthy, with some dirty pitted fruits. Flavour is not as bad as expected when looking at it, but it sure is puzzling: notes of pitted fruit, gingerbread and earthy notes. I don't know what the hell this is supposed to be. Not a total train wreck, but such a ridiculously amateur thing.

Bright amber, lasting off white head. Peachy apricot nose. Light malt, vague fruit, medium hop bittereness. Needs refining

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is soft brown sugar and hints of coffee. Has a dark brown body with vague foam. Flavour is an odd scotch and cola mix, bizarre and awkward. Sugar mouthfeel. This is kind of bad but maybe okay for the soda pop generation.

This thing smells like the puck in your local urinal. It has a cloudy yellow and almost no suggestion of foam. Flavour is huge floral urinal puck, sweet and nasty, plenty of cinnamon, more sugariness on the back end. Medium mouthfeel. This is a bad mix and a bad attempt at a far too sweet beer.

On tap at the brewery. Dark copper body and vague hints of foam, big dry grain aroma with slight coffee notes. The flavour is all big coffee and roasted barley but the finish is weak and the mouthfeel is watery. God Damnit. A few things going on here but still missing the target, a watery attempt at something intense. Northpaw needs to hire one of those Kwantlen students to help them through.

On tap at the taster room. I really got to get home to watch that movie starring Sylvester Stallone and Dolly Parton, but important stuff like beer rating comes first. This is just a pile of dark golden mud of no distinction, smells like armpit freshener - what do they call it? Oh - Antiperspirant. The flavour is like A bad perfume mixed with brown sugar; wet finish. Just weak and stupid, meaning that there seems to be no thought to this. I Have no idea why it exists. But it does, and I am here, and by God I shall Rate It.

Darker copper body with a bit of foam. Big rotten armpit hops on the nose. The flavour is oversugared hops with more sugar on top - just unbalanced. Drinkable but a mess, at least the high abv is invisible.

Darker copper body with almost no foam. Big smell of sugary apricot. Flavour is a soft mix between sugary apricot and a vague hint of malt. Medium finish. Kind of a mess where they hope you see what you want in it; but the more astute will notice the total lack of control.
