Description
We have been best friends of over 30 years, and Container has been our dream for many years. We have been literally building this thing with our barehands, shedding blood, tears and sweat while sharing laughs on the daily. There's never a dull moment here at Container.

The dream is now a reality that is taking shape. We look forward to sharing the results of our hard work with you!

As outdoor enthusiasts we like to get out and experience the world; this is the thinking behind Container Brewing. We want to give people the ability to enjoy good beer anywhere by providing you with only cans of our best products.

We’re building a lounge where you can sit and drink your beer, have a bite to eat, while enjoying good conversation. Our unique space will have you thinking about where to sit before you even arrive.

Our Head Brewer, Tim Juul, comes to Vancouver with a different perspective. His brewing techniques, and recipe styles, come from his experience in the New England area. We love what he's done for us so far and we know you will too.

Draught at the brewery. Husky, some fusel notes, nice brassy colour. Doesn't come together on the fermentation side for me.

Draught at the brewery. Golden, just a bit husky, low bitterness. Typical of small micro pale lager.

On tap at Container, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out gently dank hops, with pithy stone fruits, and biscuity malt. Flavour is full of stone fruits, citrus and piney hops, and just enough biscuity malt. If this is how most hazies were created, I'd be on the bandwagon. Clean, bright, fruity and dynamic. Excellent.

On nitro tap at Container, pours a deep dark brown with a small cascading beige head. Aroma brings out gentle toasted malt upfront, with soft dry cocoa underneath. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt and a hint of dry cocoa. Structured well, with a very light flavour profile and little depth. Good for what it is, just not particularly interesting.

On tap at Container, pours an opaque peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out heaps of pithy tropical fruits, with peaches, mango, and some resinous hops. Flavour is quite fruity, pithy tropical stone fruits, gentle dank hops, some resins, and a little yeast. Low on the chalky yeastiness insofar as hazies go, which is a real plus. Lacks some clarity — it's a tad muffled — but this is quite well-made for what it is.

On tap at Container, pours a motor oil black with a small tan head. Nose is heavy, with alcohol, roasted malt, and some cocoa - seems a little chaotic. Flavour is big and brutal - with intense roasted malt, gentle alcohol, some husky earthy notes, and a hint of espresso. Not the most refined or elegant impie, but it's balanced reasonably well and quite tasty overall. This is good.

On tap at Container, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very restrained, with straw and not much else. Flavour reveals gently sweet biscuity malt and straw. Clean and drinkable, but lacking depth. Pleasant for what it is.

On tap at Container, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassy notes, biscuity malt, and light straw. Flavour is dry and gentle, with straw, restrained grassy hops, and crisp crackery malt. Would prefer more hops here, but the grassy herbal character at least comes through a bit. Underwhelming but pleasant.

On tap at Container, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out estery notes upfront, with crisp biscuity notes and gentle fruity notes. Flavour is quite grainy, with lots of spicy cereal notes, biscuity malt, and gentle esters. I really like the cereal grainy character, which produces a suitable dry mouthfeel. Very nice.
