Description
We have been best friends of over 30 years, and Container has been our dream for many years. We have been literally building this thing with our barehands, shedding blood, tears and sweat while sharing laughs on the daily. There's never a dull moment here at Container.

The dream is now a reality that is taking shape. We look forward to sharing the results of our hard work with you!

As outdoor enthusiasts we like to get out and experience the world; this is the thinking behind Container Brewing. We want to give people the ability to enjoy good beer anywhere by providing you with only cans of our best products.

We’re building a lounge where you can sit and drink your beer, have a bite to eat, while enjoying good conversation. Our unique space will have you thinking about where to sit before you even arrive.

Our Head Brewer, Tim Juul, comes to Vancouver with a different perspective. His brewing techniques, and recipe styles, come from his experience in the New England area. We love what he's done for us so far and we know you will too.

On tap at Container, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of lacto, with gentle pineapple and mango. Flavour is sweet and sour, with lots of bright pineapple, plenty of bracing acidity, and a little lacto that's buried. Sweet, sour and highly acidic finish. Not great.

On tap at Container, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is clean, with straw and gentle grassiness. Flavour is dry, with lots of straw and crisp biscuity malt. Clean enough, but with a grainy, sharp finish that could be cleaned up. Meh.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

On tap at Container, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma has a pretty muddled, sweaty, earthy hop character, with a bready malt base — either not good hops or they were added too early? Flavour is not pleasant at all: lots of muddled earthy hops, bready malt, some erratic bitterness, and just poor balance. This isn't good at all.

On tap at Container, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of both passionfruit and pineapple, with little else. Flavour is not sweet at all and fairly citric, with fermented out passionfruit, a hint of pineapple, and dry crackery notes. Nothing unpleasant or pleasant about this — just a pretty neutral, dry, lightly fruity radler. Meh.

6.5
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

On tap at Container, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity for the style, with gentle dark dried fruits, toasted caramel, and bready malt — doesn't really smell on style. Flavour confirms this, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and plenty of red fruits. Integration is not that great, as the whole things feels a bit rough. Nothing wrong per se, but doesn't seem properly dialled in.

On tap at Container, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Nose has some unfermented wort character, light tangy hops, and some earthiness. Flavour is very restrained, with light tangy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Not as bright or white wine-y as I hoped but clean enough. A bit minerally on the finish. Meh.

473 ml can. Pours dull hazy amber with moderate head. Aromas of earthy passionfruit, mashed pineapple, a bit of sulphur and a bit of wheaty malts. Flavors of dry earthy passionfruit and some bitter pineapple. Quite heavy for the ABV and style. Must be lots of passionfruit.
