Associated Venue: Twisted Hills Cider
Established in 2012
We are unique in that we grow organic apple varieties specifically for the use of cider. We believe that the quality of cider will never surpass the quality of the apples used to make it. The varieties that we grow include a number of cider specific varieties which are higher in tannin and acidity which enables us to produce a very diverse and well-balanced array of organic ciders.
Jo Schneider a 5th generation orchardist grew up in Cawston and Kaylan Madeira a 1st generation Canadian grew up in Oliver. Both grew up on the family farm and in 2008 they planted their own acreage in cider specific apple varieties, dessert apples, pears and a few cherries.
In the Fall of 2017 Jo and Kaylan purchased and additional 5 acres on top of their 7 acre orchard which is the new home of their tasting room dubbed the CiderDome
Practicing Organic methods of farming and cidermaking we are the only cidery in BC to have a full line up of Certified Organic ciders made with Organic Estate Grown Cider Apples.

Oxford tastings
Hazy blond color. Aroma of stewed apples. Dry body, mild acidity, enough apple flavor, with a hint of pear.
Reasonable cider.

Effervescent, light colour. Nice cinnamon spice on the nose, with sweet, sugary pear. Has a nice tart pear, light spice. It does seem fairly appley as well. Nice, quite refreshing. This is good.

Bottle sampled at Twisted Hills, pours a clear blonde with a few bubbles. Aroma brings out a nice mix of apple and pear skins, with low sweetness. Flavour brings out lots of apple cores and light pear skins. Nothing overly complex but it's clean and works well together. Solid.
