Brewery Martens has been in business for 260 years. Throughout our rich history, which remains embedded in our native town of Bocholt to this very day, the brewery has always remained in hands of the Martens family. Yet, while we put great store by our family history, all eight generations of the Martens family have also continuously been driven by innovation and state-of-the-art processes, which is what has made us into one of the most modern and innovative breweries in the country today.

Bottle: Poured and amber color with carbonated white head. Aroma was a bit sweet and fruity. The flavor was slightly fruity and sweet, but finished just bitter enough to tease the palate.

Can. Pours a clear golden colour with a longlasting white head. Sweet malty, grassy aroma. Sweet malty watery thin grassy flavor. Sweet malty finish with no bitterness.

Plastic bottle - high class! Golden, nice champagne carbonation, foamy white head. Hayish sweet grainy nose, a few hrbal edges. Super lightbodied, papery malt a hint bittering hops. Watery.

Plastic bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Greenisch yellow colour. Powerfull lemon aroma, not so artificial as expected. Thin lemon flavor, light bitter finish, watery palate, but you can actually detect that there is some beer in this "thing".

Bottle at The Belgian Monk in Norwich. Hazy dark orange. Sweet citric aroma. Fruity with a lots of (too much) sweetness. Notes of yeast (26.09.2006).
