Draft - Sweet bubblegum and some pale malt. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet, bitter, bubblegum and a long finish. Hops? Not good.

"Casks for Kwantlen" event, at BRB, Richmond; dry hopped with Centennial and Cascade
Black color with creamy generous tan head. The aroma is fruity , quite hoppy like an American stout, quite yeasty, in and English and pleasant way. Bold body, nice roasted malts, with some residual sweetness, and a very nice pungent resiny hopping leading to the final.
It reminds me of some modern Scandinavian Stout, like Mikkeller and similar.
Very nice.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Hazy golden color with very generous compact head. The aroma is a bit earthy and spicy, some straws (6+). The mouthfeel is smooth, highly carbonated; it’s more astringent than spicy, with light acidity that seems out of place, and a decent level of bitterness; nothing to note about malt and hops (6-).
Pleasant beer, but it’s somehow chaotic, and not entirely convincing.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a hazy orange amber with a tiny white head. Aroma smells like cough syrup, with booze, caramel malt and dark fruit. Flavour is all cough syrup and medicinal notes - this is dreadful. Cloying sweetness and chemical notes. Horrible. How can they sell something so bad?

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out tart cherries, cough syrup, and candied sweetness. Flavour is along the same lines, with cloying sweetness, cough syrup and tart cherries. Not cohesive at all - the sweetness and sourness clash big time. Not good.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a deep dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a touch of caramel and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, caramel and a touch of red fruits. Not the most robust beer, but it's reasonably balanced. Okay.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out orange peel, with medium sweetness. Flavour is very weak, with subdued orange peel. Pretty confused and muted. Not very interesting. Meh.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of cereal, not much else. Flavour is basically stale cereal notes. Weak, lifeless body with nothing going on. Pointless beer.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a clear amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, with bready notes that are fairly subdued. Flavour is along the same lines - bready malt, subdued honey notes. Not much going on here. Pretty shitty.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very dry, with bready malt and some light piney hops - loads of bitterness. Flavour is dank and tart, with vegetal notes, skunky grassy hops, and bready malt. Poorly balanced. The hops are too vegetal-dominated. Not good.
