On tap at Old Abbey, pours a hazy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like paint thinner, with perfumey notes and fruit juice. Flavour is strange as hell, with perfumey hops and grapefruit juice. What a strange beast - perfumey galore. Not a pleasant blend.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lightly tart dark fruit skins and a touch of earthiness. Flavour is rather restrained, with earthy notes, some lightly tart fruits and light funk. Earthy and dry on the finish, with little tartness. Solid.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours black with a red tint as a small beige head. Aroma is fairly restrained, with light roast and a touch of wood. Flavour is quite roasty, with roasted malt upfront, with a touch of crispness from the hops. Solid stout, just nothing overly special.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is huge on the brett, with a dank, almost stale quality to it, with some dank hops in there. Flavour is very earthy and tart, with loads of dank hops, tart funky notes and a little stale quality. They didn't really get the balance right here - the brett is a bit off-putting. Dank and intense though. Okay.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5
On tap at Old Abbey, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and some crusty bread - a bit stale. Flavour is rather muted, with not much of anything going on - there's a bit of bready malt and toasted nuttiness. Fairly boring. Meh.
mcberko (47456) reviewed Apricot Wheat from Old Abbey Ales 10 years ago
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6
On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy orangey yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh apricot pure. Flavour isn't as intense, with jammy apricots that are rather muffled by the wheat. Better on the nose than the flavour. Okay.
mcberko (47456) reviewed Belgian Blonde from Old Abbey Ales 10 years ago
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast and a touch of candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very earthy quality upfront, followed by Belgian yeast, and a touch of cereal. The earthiness makes this quite odd. Not bad, but not overly thrilling.
