Description
Old Abbey Ales was founded in 2013 and brewed its first batch of beer at our Abbotsford facility in March of 2015. We have been crafting exceptional award-winning craft beer since that time. At Old Abbey Ales our award-winning Head Brew Master, skillfully crafts each small batch of beer by hand. This produces what we believe, are some of the finest beers in the market. As an artistic crafter, our Brewmaster, Steve is always looking to create new beers with the most unique, freshest and finest ingredients he can source to purchase locally. We take pride in supporting our local farmers and strive to support our local economy.

Draft - Sticky sweet citrus. Clear gold with a decent white head. Muted malts and grapefruit pith with a clean finish. Like an English IPA. Decent.

Draft - Sweet sticky Mandarin and a touch of booze. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, peel, pithy and a bit of alcohol with a bit of a vegetal finish.

Draft - Sweet tropical fruit, lots of sticky sweetness and light yeast.clear gold with a decent but small white head. Sweet and syrupy, little acetone notes and a hot finish. A bit too hot.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of earthy/vegetal yeast, sugar, doughy malts, and light spice. Flavors of brown sugar, raisins, copper and more vegetal notes. First batch - an opportunity to get better...

Hazy gold,small white head.Nice piney citrus hop nose.Musty,spicy citrus hop profile,quite dry.Light bodied with a big lasting hop finish

Growler. Pours a pale copper color with light head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit, light tropical fruit, and resin. Flavors of pine, candied fruit, oranges, toffee, rubber, and sweet malts. Light bitter finish. A great first iteration. There’s some Dix history here...

On tap. Pours a reddish amber with light head. Aromas of oranges, grain, and toasted malts. Flavors carry the same with additional sharp rye notes.

Growler. 9% ABV. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of dark fruit/raisins, copper, sugar, and earthy yeast. Flavors of creamy banana/yeasts, dark sugar, sweet malts, and more dark fruit and copper. Nice iteration, especially for first batch.
