Bottle. Black with a tan head that settles to a cm. Roasty and somewhat earthy aroma with some chocolate, berries, citrus zest. Medium bodied, rather oily. No sign of the alcohol. Anise and licorice turn out to be surprisingly prominent in the taste. Medium sweet with nicely judged firmish bitterness. Lacks a bottom end rumble and the chocolate goes a bit missing. The aroma promised a bit more than what was delivered.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is hoppy and quite nice, but the mouthfeel is too dry and weak, and the flavor is papery.

Hazy. Pale. The aroma has some coriander, a hint of c hop. Light body, some breezy malts, and ultimately this is a bit thin, lacks bitterness, and while I get some spice I’m not seeing how this is anything as composed as the other 100 white IPAs I’ve had.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of coriander upfront, followed by dry dank hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is pretty dull and lifeless, with subdued coriander, light citrusy hops and dry biscuity malt. Dry, boring and lacking character. It's not offensive, but not interesting.

Bottle, courtesy of Summer Santa Benzai. Creamy and milky indeed, soft and sweet, a touch of lactose. Light with a good drinkability. Coffee acidity. Very nice.

Bottle, thanks Benzai via anstei. Black color with amber highlight. Aroma is lacto, milk chocolate. Taste is the same, not too sweet, but slightly watery palate. Medium carbonation. Not bad!

On tap. Pours a hazy golden with a large, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet, floral aroma of caramel malt, tangerine, grapefruit, apricot and pine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, biscuit, grapefruit, tangerine, pine and grass with a dry, very bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation.

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #23. 12 ounce bottle, 3/8/16. One of those beers that has somehow escaped me all these years. Hazy orange with a large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of yeast, spice, wheat. Mild citrus. Almost skunky. The taste is wheat, orange, yeast, lime. Medium bodied, fruity.

65 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16
Aroma has sweet malty tones typical to brown ales; coffee and chocolate. Flavour has sweetish berry juice and chocolatey malt. Quite what it promises to be; a mixture of berry juice and brown ale. Somewhat balanced but far from perfect. Not sure if you can do perfect with this combination though...
