Description
Lost Coast Brewery was founded by Wendy Pound and Barbara Groom in 1989 in Eureka. The brewery outgrew the original location and moved to a larger building in Eureka in 1994. On August 20, 2014, they brewed their first batch of beer at another new facility just south of Eureka.

On tap at Rockridge Bar at OAK airport. Pours clear dark golden with a small off-white head, light lacing. Floral, bready, herbal sweet malts. Good.

Bottle, TWSP. Dark brown with a dusting of a head. Peanut butter, chocolate candy nose; smells cheap. Dry peanut butter, dark chocolate, milk. Kinda meh.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with white head. Orange pith and grapefruit with mild floral hops and a touch of spice. Decent.

Bottle. Lost Coast Imperial Oak Aged Madagascar Vanilla Bourbon Stout. Black beer with a brown head. Bourbon and caramel aroma with light vanilla. Chocolate and bourbon flavor with light caramel and light vanilla. Medium bodied. Chocolate and light roast linger with bourbon, light caramel. and light vanilla.

Pours black with a one finger tan head. The aroma has peanut butter, chocolate and roast malt. It tastes sweet with peanuts, chocolate, and roast malt. Enjoyable brew.

On tap at The Birds Cafe in Bodega Bay, California. Honey gold color. Brief beige head. Light sweet citrus aroma. Honeyish notes. Flavor follows nose. Some fruitiness in middle. Dryish malty finish.
