bomber - Pours up almost black with a big tan head. It has the expected roast malt aroma, though not much else going on. The flavor is a straightforward dark roast malt I’d expect from a stout with some mild chocolate notes. This medium bodied beer seemed a little lacking to me though, especially given the strong reviews here. Maybe I had a bad bottle? It seems pretty average.

Poured brown with beige head, much lacing. Aroma of malt and caramel. Flavour of malt, brown sugar and a mild bitterness. Medium body with mild hoppy finish

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear deep ruby with average head. The fresh raspberries in the aroma are acompanied by lightly roasty malt. With it’s surprisingly restrained sweetness and clean rounded, perhaps somewhat soapy moutheel it is more well balanced than I thought this beer would be, and the fresh raspberry flavour goes well with the nutty malt. Low bitterness. A solid effort in a difficult style.

Aroma of fruit, oatmeal and malt. Slight bitterness in flavour and a hint of espresso. Bitterish and hoppy finish. I didn’t find this all that sweet, more of a cream stout.

Very pleasing winter warmer, just as I like them. Nice ruby-garnet color with a 1 finger tan head. Aroma is lightly spicy and hoppy around a sweet alcohol component and touch of chocolate and caramel. The flavor is rounded but not overly sweet, with a dusty cocoa and spicy hop edge. Medium body and lightly bitter finish.

Kind of surprised to see this classed here as a sweet stout - I found it pretty dry. The aroma was fair, revealing plenty of roast, a bit of an herbal/woody hop (that was not entirely pleasing), and a cheesy/sweaty component that may have been the hop. The flavor was dry and roasty, with a bit of husky astringency, probably from the oatmeal. The finish was dry and ashy/burnt. A touch of crystal malt flavor was apparent up front, but it wasn’t a sweetness so much as just a hint of caramelized grain sugar - I imagine the crystal malt was a dark variety with most of the sweetness burnt out. Despite all my roast/burnt descriptors here, this isn’t overly roasty tasting, as the flavor is on the whole mild and under-stated, like many dry stouts (fortunately this one is not nitro’d!). Hop flavoring was nil, and bittering was light. A fair, easy drinking stout.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a nice tan head. Roasty, caramel, nutty aroma. Malty, caramel flavor with some roast and backing bitterness. Thinner body than expected. Rasty spiciness lingers. Easy drinking.

Bottle: Murky copper pour with a golden hue and small white head. Full of sweetness and hops, this brew starts off subtle and finishes big. Some sweet malt and caramels are punctualized with a strong hops finish. Citrus and floral hops shine in a crisp end to a very pleasant IPA.

Poured hazy orange with a white lasting head. Spicy aroma with some citrus tones. Mouthy taste, with a hoppy, mildly astringent finish. a Session IPA.

Poured nearly black with light brown head. Aroma of chocolate malts, certainly some oatmeal and a hint of vanilla. Initial flavor seems to be black patent and chocolate malts. Then some coffee entered midway. Flavor ends with some mild roasted malts. Tasty brew.
