On tap at Buckskin Beerhouse, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out cheap peated smoke, little else. Flavour reveals notes of smoked meat, bacon and campfire smoke. Much more bacony and meaty than most Rauchbiers. Not too good.

On tap at Buckskin Beerhouse, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt with a hint of earthiness. Flavour is clean but mineraly and grainy, with toasted malt, a hint of sweetness, and lots of seltzery notes. Cheap and unconvincing imitation of the style. Lame.

On tap at Buckskin Beerhouse, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very restrained, with toasted malt and cereal grains. Flavour is quite mineraly, with light toasted malt. Not much body - super weak and watery. Lame as fuck.

Can from National Brewery Centre, Burton upon Trent. Light gold and clear with almost zero head and a bit of visible carbonation. Gluey, papery and grainy aroma. Taste actually isn't bad: some tempered sweetness with a gentle citrus note. The gluey note is back in the aftertaste. Medium to heavy carbonation. It isn't bad, but it's a bit wearing after a while.

330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May '19. Brought by me. Thanks me. Pours clear gold, frothy white topping. Aroma is clean malt. Taste is pretty clean, light, not too bad, some corn, no real off-notes but not a lot to it at the same time. Not that there needs to be I guess.

26th May 2019, Shrewsbury Beer Share Meeting in Chez Sophie; five of us. Thanks Mat for this 330ml can. It pours a clear and clean golden colour with a fast fading white head. Corn like feel to the whole thing, cheap and nasty really.

Very clear golden with an inch of white head. Malt driven with light toasted cereal. Medium thin body. A bit sweet in the finish. Medium dry. Bland but inoffensive and unremarkable.

Slightly hazy golden with a short white head. Slight zesty fruit, light malt, spice. Finish is fake sweet with some spice. Thin bodied. Meh.
