Can. Dark brown, big brown head. Dark roast, light farty, lightly burnt. Medium light dry body. Very dry, tart, burnt, pumpernickel, dark chocolate with staying power, roast retronasal. Not much vanilla in this batch.

Can. Almost black color with beige head. Aroma is mildly roasty, some tart edge, no vanilla yet. Taste is a bit tart, vanilla, a bit refermented, tartish finish. Super foamy carbonation. Not great, but not terrible either.

Tons of vanilla and chocolate. Rich brown with a creamy beige head. Sticky sweet vanilla and chocolate. A bit too sweet and artificial

On tap at Sticky Fingers in Ulsan, Korea. Sold as Yuza Pale Ale and label on tap reads Yuza Ally. Metallic taste at first, which then moves to yuza/yuzu taste (mix of lemon, orange and soap). Not bad.

Pint at band of brewers. Beautiful copper colour. Slight hoppy aroma and an easy drinking hoppy flavour. There’s plenty of flavour, with resin and hops at the front. Slips down very easily.

Taster at band of brewers (thanks to staff for very generous free sample). Pours dark with thick lingering head. Lots of roasted malts with a little fruitiness. Very thick in the mouth, even for a stout. The vanilla is completely lost under the bitterness.

Taster at craft roo. Cloudy amber pour and a full body. There’s flowers and yuzu up front and then the hops come in. The finish is a beautiful blend of the two.

Taster at craft roo. Pale and very thin. Quite watery, though there’s some orange and malt that pop up briefly.

On tap at Cheezzy Italiani, Seoul as Whasoo Yuza Ale. Looks like it contains Yuza (유자) a sort of citrus. Light orange color, hazed, thick creamy white head. Strange spiced aroma, mostly rosemary and fruity tones, lemon and a soapy note. The first timpression is "meh" but then a nice resiny bittering hops comes up from the back of the throat with a flavored malty persistence. Taste moderately bitter, light body, watery texture, dry sourish finish. Out of the ordinary and its a good thing.
