Description
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and very faint stone fruits. The taste is bready notes, toasted malts, plums and other fruits, caramel. Medium bodied. Hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of strong caramel, hops, pineapple, pine, sugars and a touch of floral notes. Full-bodied; Syrupy, resiny hop flavour with a ton of pine and pineapple, a lot of grassy notes and a touch of light earthiness. Aftertaste shows a deep pungent hoppiness with the pine and pineapple notes coming through with a ton of alcohol and a lot of warmth from that. Overall, a nice and strong Imperial IPA that is a bit lighter than I thought from drinking (8,5% abv). I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 04-July-2011 for US$5.99 sampled at home home in Manassas, Virginia on 05-August-2011.
