Description
Here in Summerland, we're passionate about cider. Our focus is on quality and we believe we have achieved something pretty close to perfection. What sets us apart is that our all-juice cider is made using European cider apple varieties that we grow ourselves in our orchards. Though not very good for eating, these apples contain a surprising amount of tannins. This is what gives our cider not only its beautiful golden colour, but when fermented, results in a richly flavoured, surprisingly complex drink.

Clearish pale yellow gold. Pale green apple skin. Light skins and a touch of sweetness. A bit bland.

500mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp apple skins and gentle wine barrels. Flavour reveals gently, tangy white wine barrels, a little lemon, and crisp apples. The wine presence is pretty laid back, with a gently tangy finish. Nothing too complex, but it's quite good.

Tasting at Erik's, bottle
Cloudy pale blond colour. A bit of funk, that helps. It's juicy and moderately sweet, so I'm willing to say that this is more pleasant than the average BC cider.

Cloudy, very pale yellow. Dry, weak, with faint fruit, light level of acetic acid. Poor.

500mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light champagne and gentle, tart pear skins. Flavour is simple and laid back, with dry tart pear skins. Not much character at all, with very gentle sweetness on the finish. Pretty uninspiring perry.

Quite pale. Light pear note, kind of weak, with a touch of apple. Light apple note, not much pear, this isn't the greatest.

Slight haze, there's a fairly orangey note on the nose. Nice clean apple note, the salt adds a bit of brightness, and the orangey notes are actually quite fun. I like this.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is heavy on the coriander upfront, with apple acidity, orange zest, and a hint of salt. Flavour is full of coriander and salt upfront, with medium apple acidity, and light citrus. Nice use of coriander, with pleasant acidity. I like this.

Spiced apple. Clear gold with a small white head. Soured apple, light spice and a long finish. Not quite at all as described. Salt maybe, lemon not really.
