On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a nice earthy quality along with farmhouse notes upfront, followed by a touch of dark fruits and tart, acetic notes. Flavour is quite deep, with many elements cohering well, featuring notes of farmhouse yeast, earthy notes, a little balsamic and a touch of tart dark fruits. Not especially rich, but there's a subtle elegance to it that is very pleasing. Good stuff.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes upfront from the rye and toasted malt - not really any hops discernible. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very earthy palate from the rye. Dry toasted malt base to this with no hops to be noticed. A bit muffled and flat, but it's okay. Unspectacular.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a murky dark brown with a reddish tinge and almost no head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes upfront, with toasted English bready malt. Flavour is a little more pronounced, with the aforementioned earthy notes and toasted English malt. Finishes on notes of crusty bread. Decent.

Cask - Soured malts with some medicinal orange notes. Turbid yellow, orange. Bitter grapefruit and a too long finish. Not quite right.

On cask at GCBF 2016, pours a red tinged dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a nice mix of chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon, as well as a touch of coffee underneath. Flavour is bitter upfront, with lots of dry bitter cocoa nibs, followed by subdued vanilla and even less prominent cinnamon. Dry and fairly bitter finish. Decent stuff but I prefer the base beer.
