355 ml can. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of woody bourbon, soy sauce, and slick roasted malts. Lighter flavors follow same with additional dry dark chocolate. Expecting something that was richer and bigger.

335 ml can (Hazel of course...). Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, chocolate nougat, vanilla, and clean roasted malts. Flavors of bourbon, raisins, oak, light chocolate and roasted malts. Alcohol noticeable in the finish and thins out the mouthfeel and flavor, maybe exaggerated by the nuts

355mL can, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma reveals a nice cohesive blend of bourbon barrels and roasted hazelnuts, with a touch of dry cocoa. Flavour is soft on the palate, with light toasted hazelnut, soft bourbon, and a touch dry cocoa and vanilla. On the thin side insofar as impie stout palates go, but the flavours integrate nicely. Excellent.

355mL can, pours black with a medium light brown head. Nose brings out a load of bourbon barrels, molasses, medium-heavy roasted malt, and a hint of vanilla. Flavour is heavy on the bourbon upfront, with a big roasted malt base, lots of molasses, dry cocoa, and a hint of vanilla. The body is on the thin side for a BA impie stout and the residual sweetness on the low side. That said, I like the roast and the somewhat boozy bourbon. It's rather one-dimensional and lacks the depth that many in the style have, but it does strike a nice note. Very good.

355mL bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Nose brings out plenty of bourbon, some wood varnish, and a bit of dried dark fruits. Flavour reveals plenty of bourbon, light dark dried fruits, a smidgeon of tartness, and alcohol. As with so many BA porters/stouts in Quebec, there's a touch of tartness here that makes me wonder what the hell is going on in Quebec with barrel aging -- why the tartness for such a beer? Doesn't exactly seem infected, but it also doesn't seem on the mark. As it warms, the bourbon becomes more prominent and the tartness subdues. Good.
A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light coffee grind, musty character, light pineapples, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light pineapples, alcohol warmth, light coffee, very nice. On tap at L'autre oeil.
