Cask at Machine House. Black pour with a minimal, bubble cask head. Aroma is boozy, slight dough malt, dark fruit, and a wine note. Flavor is creamy, maple, chocolate, roasted malt, raisin, and has a barrel impression despite not being barrel aged. Tobacco notes, a bit of smoke, subtle cherry that barely sneaks through. Having a beer like this on cask seems to reveal every single detail possible, and this beer has it all. Complex, and top tier uniqueness. Very impressive beer here.

Bottle. Clear golden orange with a tall, off-white head. Bountiful bright hop notes in the aroma with some sweet malt. Medium bodied. Flavor has a very bright hop profile. Citrus and some spicy earth notes. Sweet, semi-toasted malt holds it all together. At sub-five percent, this is a standout.

Cask Conditioned ale. Pours orange brown with thick white head, aroma is pleasant garden but very light. Malty flavour with a little grassy edge, very light bodied. Pleasant on a very hot day like today.

An excellent example of the style, especially when served cask conditioned. Smooth and quaffable, have more than one. Malt is forward, with chocolate, caramel and some fig notes. Light hops in the finish. When I encounter this with a bitter, I also have a mild and bitter.

Cask, poured at Special Brews. Hazy golden copper pour with a thick cake of a head. Piney, spicy aroma. Flavor is a soft orange fruit hop character, with some more spice like quality. Creamy. Lingering hop bitter bite here. Orange fruit, but more like an orange peel tea style flavor. Cask brings out a ton of layers of flavor. Less juicy, more bitter. Not typically my type of IPA, but I enjoyed this.

On cask at the PIB. Pretty cool to see a cask out there. Pours a copper color with a medium white head. A big bready floral citrus hop nose. The flavor is big toffee, marmalade, soft fruity elements, no bitterness. Certainly not a PNW IIPA which is fine it is a British style brew. Yeasty, dusty sweet finish. Solid.

On cask at PIB 2016, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma brings lots of piney hops, English malt and bready notes. Flavour is very sweet, with resinous hops and sweet bready caramel malt. Sweet but not too cloying. Solid stuff for what it is.

Imperial pint at Stumbling Monk - $6. Cask, of course. Murky golden color. Soapy but sticky head. Surprising amount of carbonation for a cask. A thick and smooth mouthfeel. Fairly hoppy without the offputting aspects of this hop heck, itβs drinkable and the hop doesnβt annoy me.

Cask pour pint at Safeco Field, cause we have an awesome stadium. Golden yellow pour with a ton of foam head and lacing. Sweaty hop aroma. Flavor is bitter up front, nutty, and a smoothed out finish. Pretty good.

On tap at Horse Brass pub in Portland-USA. Pours nutty/amber hazy color, super tick off white head with so much retention. Nose: tea, orange, some mango, a bit crazy experiment to mix Eng and American styles. Mouth: again English all the way, more nutty, more American fresh hops. Lovely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
