Undated can drunk 8/6/26.
Soft, fruity, mineral-laden yeast with notes of apple, raspberry, strawberry. Much more yeast and base malt-driven than specialty malt, so that's awesome. Unsurprisingly, no explicit stinging nettle in the nose.
Ok....I think I'm actually getting the nettle in the flavor. It's not at the front of the sip; that's fruity yeast and rich base malt, but it comes following that, lending an earthy, peppery, minty character and leaving a mintiness lingering alongside the malt on the finish. Nice and richly-malted, but still properly attenuated. Instantly big fan of this brewery and will try my damnedest to get there during my very limited time in Seattle this October.
Really like the beer they paired the nettles with. It complements the fruity yeast and rich malts. No hops to distract and yet there's a bit more interest than just, say, a golden ale.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy amber pour, initial foamy off-white head settles out. Caramel, malty aroma with some fruity notes. Taste brings out more of the malt, leather, tobacco, toffee with some light sweetness. Smooth.

Bottle from Tavour: pours orange with a whitish head. Aroma is somewhat earthy, herbal, along with some fruitiness and wood. Taste is lightly bitter. Supercharged ESB mostly, but with more fruitiness and more intense tastes.

Can from Tavour. Pours bright copper/amber with a vanishing head. Flavor is toffee with fruity/earthy hop. Med body. Lightly toffee/malty with a significant amount of hop - including some light spice. Orange/apricot seem present. Malt's the thing tho.

Can.
A- Amber color, hazy liquid, beige head.
A- Earthy, herbal, mild bell peppers, subtle malt.
F- Mild jalapenos, earthy, herbal, caramel, bready.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, earthy finish.
O- Tasted like a chili beer minus the heat. Very earthy and peppery. Really not a fan of this beer at all. Didn't even want to finish the pint but out of personal preference as much as the quality of brew.

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours amber with a large near-white head. Aroma is that bready malt common in bitter, quince, and a forest morning earthy/woodiness. WTF! Malty in a toasty/toffee way, but fairly dry. More than enough bitterness for balance. Quince and wood twigs and earth. And a bit of spice/evergreen (similar to cedar?). This is pretty amazing and complex ale. AND IT'S REAL ALE!!!! Maybe that explains part of it!

16.9 oz. bottle, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is full on spruce tips, with a big woody note and deep English bready malt. Flavour is much the same, with tons of woody spruce tips, super bitter English hops, and dry bready malt. Extremely bitter finish, retaining that sprucey, woody character which I assume are from the malts. Exceeded my expectations, but⦠8.5, Oakes⦠seriously? Good stuff.

500mL bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head. Light caramelized citrus and pine on the nose. Flavour is quite bitter with lots of marmalade and caramelized orange peels, woody spruce, grassy English hops. Nice, seems quite well-constructed with pretty good complexity for what it is.

Clear gold body with thin white head. Light grassy aroma. Malty taste with a salady green edge from the hops. Excellent body and over the tongue finish.
