Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy yellow color ale with a nice large white foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of lightly tart notes with some oak and vinous notes is quite enticing. Taste is a good mix of tart notes with some oak and some vinous notes with light rustic cereal notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well balanced saison with nice used of barrels.

Soft malt, bubblegum esters, some decent yeastiness. Not bad as a Belgian.

21K beers and this is the first one I've had with hay in it. Right on. A bit foamy upon opening. On the nose, yeasty, phenolic from runaway fermentation. Hay? Maybe. Fizzy, of course. It has a dry grassiness, could be from hops, and there's some pale malt notes. The dried flower taste isn't bad, and it's more bitter than most saisons. It's ok, but the overeager bottle ferment, giving it that excess carbonation, makes it tougher to really appreciate the nuances that this beer brings.

Tasting at Matt's
Cloudy golden colour with generous head; the bottle is a slow gusher. Aroma of berries and vanilla, wood, light scrotum, funk. Highly carbonated, dry mouthfeel, some clash of flavours between fruit and bretty character, with some vegetable bitterness.
Not bad, but unclean.

Bottle: Poured a clear pale reddish color ale with a light off-white foamy head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of vinous notes with some oak and cherry notes. Taste is also dominated by vinous notes with some oak and tart cherry notes with light acidic flavours. Body is thinner then I was expecting with some medium carbonation. Below standard for a style that is not easy to master. A little bit too thin overall which limits the complexity.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a dirty brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some candi sugar with some subtle Brett notes with nice whisky notes also perceptible. Taste is also a good mix of caramelized malt with some candi sugar notes, some Brett notes with oak and whisky notes with some light Brett notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. I wasn’t sure Brett were going to be a good mix in this beer but it did end up working quite well.

Hazy amber-tan. Thin head. Vinous, barrelly nose with maybe peachy notes. This has a mild barrel, it's yeasty but balanced. Fresh tree fruit - peaches and pears. Bright fruits. This is complex and delicious. Might be a little sweet for me, but I can totally get into this. Just excellent stuff. I love the way the vinous sweetness and tannic barrels come together in the finish, but there's always a sturdy beer character underneath.
