16.9 oz bottle, courtesy of andrewje41 (thanks man!), pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Nose reveals a rich, complex bourbon barrel character, with a touch of spiciness from the rye, along with a rich caramel and toffee malt base, and perhaps notes of brown sugar. Flavour is rich and assertive, certainly on the sweet side but in acceptable territory for the style -- there's huge bourbon barrels, spicy rye whiskey, caramel, dark fruits, brown sugar, and alcohol. Tons of depth and complexity. If I could, I'd tone down the sweetness just a bit, but that's a minor gripe for what it is an excellent BA barley wine.

On tap at Chuck's Greenwood, pours a clear dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour is dry, with bready malt, toasted nuts, and a hint of dry caramel. Dry and bready; pleasantly constructed. Good.

19/II/23 - 1Pt. can from a trade, shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: n/a (2023-167) Thanks to Zion for the trade!

Cloudy light yellow beer, big irregular fizzy crackling white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: oh my, lovely stuff, all citrus fruits, lemon and grapefruit, zesty, a bit grassy, a little dank, some diesel, very nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice bitterness, lots of citrus, juicy, grassy, little dank, very nice, a little floral, a bit soapy. Aftertaste: fruity, juicy, zesty, good bitterness, very nice, little dank, really like this one a LOT, very nice NEIPA!

Waxed, capped 500 from Tavour. Pours clear very dark brown with a smidgin of tan head. Aroma of rye and other things. Full bodied. Flavor is rye, some dark fruit, toffeeish malt, bourbon probably. It's not dry, but not sticky. Bitter. From heat? From oak? From something! A very nice sipper.
