(Draught at the restaurant next to the Klasterni Pivovar Strahov, Prague, 29 July 2011) Dark brown colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, caramel, chocolate and slight hints of acidity. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, dried fruit, chocolate and a slightly bitter-sweet finish with a touch of acidity. Medium body, with some sweetness. Decent, but I’m not really sure of the shape of this one.

(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 28 July 2011) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel, grapefruit and fresh, citric/grassy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, toasty malt, grapefruit and lots of fresh hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Very refreshing and interesting to stumble across a real Czech IPA, specially when it’s this good. Very nice.

On draught: Pale golden to golden, a bit unclear, creamy head, leaving lacy rings on the glass; dry spicy herbal and piney hoppy nose; moderate dryish bitter flavour, soft and light bodied; pleasantly lingering dry hoppy-grapefruity finish. Refreshing summer ale.......
