Amber with a beige head. Toasted malts, fruity, toffee, caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, a touch sweet, black pepper. Medium bodied. Finish has some spice over the sweet toasted malt. Very solid.

Med bod, med carbo. Med-high bitter, low sweet. Pretty dry and hoppy. Med-high grassy herbal hops character, feels more Czech than German, but I like it. Clean feeling, a bit youngish but easy drinking and tasty.

Med-thin bod, med-high carbo. Med-high bitter, light-low sweet, pretty dry. Light honeyish toasty malt, nice. Med-high classic Czech hops, grassy, herbal. Very clean, easy drinking, tasty. Very good.

0.75l bottle, enormous thanks Zhenya fro sharing with me. At Automat Matuška. Bit steep at 560CZK, considering it's a Matuška place, but I guess it's fair to stores who sell it. 440 from the brewery itself, mind. That price tag should indicate something special - but though that wasn't always guaranteed, Matuška's heights can be pretty damn high, so... let's dive in. Clear amber-golden body, off-white head. Lovely, LOVELY oaky, peachy, soft aroma, some dried fruit - cardamom was perhaps a good pick, spicy it is, but it's the fruitier type of spice. Just wow. The barrel isn't overdone, it gave its notes elegantly. Smooth, oaky, lean taste, vanila, pistachio, regular wood, perfumey, minty, yeah, woodruff is actually in presence, as is some orange peel. Bit fuller for the style, sweetish, but I mean, it's the barrel-aged kind. Bit of peppery spiciness by the finish. Oh man... so much fun! Not perfect, mind, especially as a tripel - but as a barrel aged beer it's pretty great. Not sure I'd jump on this price, but I mean, it's not that the payoff wasn't there, and as my friend noted correctly - beers like this should be supported! Great job!

Tap at Napalmě. Hazy yellow-golden body, off-white head. Herbal, somewhat eggy aroma, lightly citric, nice. Herbal, eggy, yeasty, citric touches, low bitterness. Smooth and dry, works really. BIt sweeter than my preferences are, but it's good by all means.

A touch cloudy golden with a rocky white head. Candied citrus but light, fresh fruits, a bit herbal, som slight malt notes. It has a fruity profile overall with some light bitterness. Medium bodied. Finish has a short bitter bite. Has the start of something really nice but sorta falls off.
