Description
Crafting mixed culture ale in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.

We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.

Admin Note: Beer Garden/Tap Room in Portland, production in Clakamas, OR.

375mL bottle, pours an opaque dark rusted orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tart cherries, cocoa nibs, oak, and some light vinegar. Flavour brings out lots of tart cherries, light vinegar, lots of oak, and a hint of wild yeast. The red wine barrels really round this out nicely. Really nicely integrated. Good stuff.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark reddish pink with a medium, quickly-dissipating off-white head. Nose is wonderfully funky, with lots of complex red grapes, wild yeast, and oak in wonderful cohesion. Flavour is immense, with funky pinot noir grapes, grape must, followed by oak, and wild yeast. The booze is certainly prominent, finishing hot, vinous and grape-like. Lovely stuff.
