Cloudy blond color. A bit fruity, lightly spicy, not too dry. Low bitterness.
Not a bad beer, very timid though.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of diacetyl. Flavour is very buttery, infected with diacetyl, with some crackery malt and light piney hops. Man, what is wrong with this brewery? Nearly every hoppy beer I've had from these guys has had diacetyl problems.

Draft - Cocoa and raisin. Dark brown with a decent beige head. Sweet plum, raisin, cocoa and a nice finish. Pretty decent.

Draft - Butter and grain. Clear gold with a decent white head. Actually tastes as it smells, not good. Ugh.

Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Cloudy blond color, greenish. Nice hops aroma, also butter. Smooth, good malt background, decent hops (not too bright though), and traces of butter; correct bitterness.
Flawed good beer, to be tuned.

On tap at VCBW Fest, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings herbal notes and skunky diacetyl notes. Flavour is infected, with popcorn, undesirable sourness and light astringency. Horrible stuff - something went massively wrong.

On tap at VCBW Fest, pours dark amber / burgundy with a small beige head. Nose brings out spicy Belgian yeast and biscuity notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with spicy Belgian yeast, crackery notes, and dark toasted malt. Pretty well-structured, with a good balance of flavours. Quite nice.

Brownish-amber colour. Thin head. Nice lacing. Sweet, toasty character. Has a slightly husky feel to it, and the finish is awfully thin. Not getting the sense that Belgians are this brewery’s strong suit.

Draft - Buttery notes with some dark malts. Cloudy Amber with a rich beige head. Light buttery notes and light caramel with a decent bitterness. Not as drinkable and light as others I have tried in the style.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color, clean, with a brown hue, and creamy head. The aroma, manure and some grassy and fruity hops, is reminiscent of a modern English Ale (a darker Golden Ale). The mouthfeel is dry, but the body is not weak; there is a very nice flavor of dark caramel, roasted nuts; strong bitterness, with some harsh hop resin, this could be more elegant and delicate, but difficult to achieve. Possibly there are traces of diacetyl, not disturbing.
They got the style wrong, but they got a very good beer.
