Description
Maui Brewing Company was founded by Garrett Marrero and Melanie Oxley. They started as a single brew-pub, a small restaurant that served its own locally brewed beer in January 2005. Demand for the beer outgrew the space available in the brewpub and in 2007, Maui Brewing Company started producing and packaging beer out of a separate production facility. In 2012 Marrero and Oxley opened yet another larger production facility, which increased their capacity from 18,000 barrels of beer to almost 40,000 barrels.

Can outta Day 4 of the Beer Republic Advent Calendar. Aroma has rich dark chocolate and coffee, alongside burnt coconut. Dark brown. Murky. Lively stuff - thick fluffy foamy off-white head. Initial sour berries and mocha. Coconut milk sweetness them comes through. Chewy. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable - the coconut tempers the bitterness.

Poured from the tap @ MT Lomaland. Clear gold with small white head. Mild tropical hops and super feint juiciness. Okay.

12oz can at New Colony. Bright orange golden pour, hazy, thin white foamy cap. Light fruity aroma, little hints of tropical and citrus. Taste is fruity, very light, tropical with a solid biscuity malt base.
