Description
Maui Brewing Company was founded by Garrett Marrero and Melanie Oxley. They started as a single brew-pub, a small restaurant that served its own locally brewed beer in January 2005. Demand for the beer outgrew the space available in the brewpub and in 2007, Maui Brewing Company started producing and packaging beer out of a separate production facility. In 2012 Marrero and Oxley opened yet another larger production facility, which increased their capacity from 18,000 barrels of beer to almost 40,000 barrels.

Draught. Golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is coffee, some toasted and syrupy tones. Flavour is sweet malts, some alcohol, syrup, coffee and some mild floral tones.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours an opaque gold color with a thick white head and great retention. Very good lacing. Light malt aroma. Slightly sweet pale malt flavor with a touch of lemon and light hops in the finish. Very clean and smooth. Not much blonde characteristics, but an enjoyable lager nonetheless. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Nice.
