This Schwarz poured a deep red colour with a creamy tan head. Nice lacing. Scents include plum, must, brown sugar and spice. First swig was creamy, smooth and somewhat sweet with flavours of ripe fruit, a little must, malt and a spice flavour that I can’t for the life of me put my finger on. Finish is lightly bitter with malty spice lingering.

First swig was fresh and crisp with citrus flavours, along with grass, straw and a little pineapple. Finish is medium bitter with hoppy flavours lingering.

This Imp stout poured a deep black colour with a dark brown, chocolate head. Minimal lacing. Scents include alcohol, dark chocolate, mint and a little coffee. First swig was very strong flavoured. Slightly sweet, flavours of Melloids cough drops, cocoa, very black coffee, smoke, burnt toast and a little mint. Finish is burnt, smokey and sweet. A real bold number!

Bottle at Oakes' Manor
Amber colour, unclear. Some malt, a bit perfumey, medium body, caramel, light sourness; it's a good strong Ale, by far not a Barley Wine though.

Amber-brown, thin head. This has a fair bit of malt - a slight biscuity, lots of caramel but a good one, toasty, is that rye barrel? It's pretty fun. Dryish, doesn't seem like a bw as much...ok English.

500mL bottle, pours a murky dark reddish brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out bready caramel, a little barrel, and some resins. Flavour is loaded with rye barrels upfront, with bready caramel and alcohol. For such a low ABV barley wine, this is rather hot. A little jagged but it's nicely put together.
