Description
The site where Coteau Rougemont now stands was first settled in 1816. It quickly became known for its fertile soil as well as the quality of its crops, livestock and forest products. In 1883, it became home, albeit briefly, to Quebec’s first agricultural school.

In 1935, after having changed hands a few times, the estate was sold to the Oblate fathers. In 2006, it was acquired by Claude Robert, an entrepreneur originally from the Rougemont area, putting the vast orchard and its 40,000 trees under the control of the Robert family.

A pinkish cider with aroma of raspberry, chalky, pleasant, light apples. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity apple pulp with raspberry jam, very pleasant.

2012 vintage. A deep golden cider with aroma of sweet apple pulp, maple syrup, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity apple butter with maple notes, alcohol warmth, light vanilla, superb. Bottle at Mondial des Cidres 2015.

A pale golden cider with a rather funky apple aroma, earthy, dirty. In mouth, a lighter bodied sweet ice cider, with sour apples, light astringence, not bad. Mondial des cidres de glace, Feb. 12 2011.
