Bottle at Park Bar, Reading University. Pale gold and very fizzy. Dry? Are they allowed to call it that when it’s actually horribly, horribly sweet? Little evidence of apples, but a whole lot of evidence of sugar. Very sticky. Straying into alcopop territory. Ghastly.

Bottle shared at Brussels Beer Café, Penang. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of tart apples, sweet red apples, light barnyard funk and manure notes. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light sour. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a very dry palate.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color cider. Aroma of dry apple notes. Taste is quite dry with limited amount of complexity. The apple notes don’t come out as much as I was expecting with a dry finish that limits drinkability. Never had such a dry cider.

Robert brought this one back from a trip to South Africa +++ Sampled from an 11.2 oz green bottle this cider poured a vibrant yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was crisp green apple, tart apple peel and a hint of lemon. The flavor was semi sweet and tart with a touch of cider vinegar, green apple and apple juice. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

330 ml bottle. (5% ABV) Pours a clear, golden yellow with a thin, fizzy, white head. Sweet apple aroma. Sweet apple flavour with a slightly dry, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Refreshing, but nothing to get excited about.

Robert brought this one back for me from a trip to South Africa. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this cider poured a bright golden color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was tart with hints of apple and cracker. The flavor was dryish apple and a bit of yeast. Short finish. Light body. Disappointing.
