12 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Soft golden glow in appearance, pillows of foam head, a slight sunset haze. Nice hoppy floral nose here, inviting. Great balance of bold grains and citrus over floral hop characters. Smooth taste for sure, but a slight bite to it as well that I always find enjoyable. Lingers as a juicy hop constant. 6 pack worthy pale that I only ended up with a single can of in the mixed pack department. Bummer. We all make mistakes. They certainly did not on this beer however. Delicious!

On tap at Brigidβs. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has rye and bread with an earthy pine note underlying. Flavor has lots of grass and rye with a light earthy pine backbone.

500 mL bottle poured. Here is a Seattle brewery that I really need to get to more. It's in a great beer location, and they always seem to impress me with their brews. I believe my first bottle from these folks. Golden pour, mostly clean, fragrant Belgian like aroma, with some hops that join in. Cool flavor, some floral, a surprisingly hoppy finish. German brew reminding hops, if I can pretend to know what I'm talking about within the style. As flavorful as it is fragrant. Enjoyable on each level. It's a Belgian strong, but it hides it well. It refuses to go bubblegum like a lot of these brews that come from around here do. It's both bitter and sweet, in all the right ways. Even has a spicy note. Not that I would ever be looking, but I cant find anything to complain about here. Very nice Belgian strong.

On tap pours out dark amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is sweet caramel malts pit fruit and some spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet pit fruit rich malts and some spice.

12 oz can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of nutty milk chocolate, creamy coffee and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow more of a dry stout, with lots of roasted malts and possibly a bit of lactose

Sample at Taphouse Grill in Seattle. Cloudy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Sparse strings of lace. Grassy hops, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, citrus fruits and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a pineapple and hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft pout at Counterbalance. A near black pour with a quick fading head. Looking forward to this beer. The table is buzzing about it. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, and raisin. Root beer reminder too. Flavor is like a snickerdoodle. Cinnamon spice. A touch sweet. Another root beer reminder in the flavor. Cookie, chocolate. Fun, extremely unique stout here. Quite nice.

Draft pour at Counterbalance. A dark, near black pour, thin, with a cola fizz head. Huge roasted malt aroma. Toasty. Coffee beans a bit. Flavor is an equally large roasted character. Almost smokey. Actually, I'd say it definitely is Smokey. Espresso, roasted lingering finish. Solid porter

Draft pour at Counterbalance. A somewhat clear pale golden color. Some straw grains on the nose, and modest sour fruit. Melon like sour fruit. A little different than my usual sour experiences. Melon, and has a touch of salt like character. Gose? Not advertised that way, but I'm convinced. Pretty good.

Draft pour at Counterbalance. A shiny golden pour, clean. Spicy rye malt aroma, but not over the top with the typical rye characteristics. Cool, clean flavor. A slight fruit character here. Soft spice finish. Refreshing pale. One of the more in my opinion within the rye variety.
