Draft pour enjoyed at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. Pale golden yellow appearance, moderate haze. Lasting foam head ad lacing. Sutble citrus notes hide behind a biscut grain. Cool constant on the palate. Definitely has a juicy side, despite being a little off balance in my opinion. Mild, sessionable hazy with plenty of flavor. Good one here.

Draft pour enjoyed at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. A shiny, clean golden pour with plenty of lacing, thin foam head. A little on the sweet side, I'd say. A little surprising. Slick texture, soft straw grain, cool finish. Refreshing and light, without being watery, or having any off flavors. Pretty nice lager overall here. I could get on board with this in a few settings.

Draft pour enjoyed at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. Clean and clear copper golden appearance, with a patchy fizz head. Soft nose of caramely malts. Flavor has a similar malt character, with very soft grassy hop influence. Some odd sweet notes here. Touch of buter. Light brew, little hop balance here. Flawed, but good qualities. I have a feeling this beer recipe would clean up quite nicely.

Draft pour at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. Clean, copper appearance. Almost no head. Floral centered hoppy aroma, with a soft metallic tone. Flavor exceeds the already stout floral nose. Bright and flavorful lager, with a long lingering biscuit grain and floral character. Cool and refreshing brew.

Draft pour at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. Hesitated to order this one, until I heard that they made it sour intentionally, and this wasn't a mistake batch hitting the shelf. Jet black appearance. Quick fading head. Sour indicator up front on the nose, with tons of dark fruit. Flavor reminds me of a berry chocolate bar. Equal parts sweet and sour. Cocoa notes up front, with a forever lingering dark, ripe fruit note. Sourness is not intense in any way. Subtle 3/10. Strange brew overall. A tulip of this would be more than enough for me.

Draft pour at Counterbalance. Rating from backlog. Hazy pale appearance here, bright golden with lots of foam head. Really fun and unique brew here. Likely the first that I'm aware of with these hops. Pineapple like refreshing and inviting aroma. Taste leans more on an earthy hop profile and grain. Onion, and low sweet fruit notes linger on the palate. Bold, flavorful pale. Cool brew!

Poured from 12 fl oz bottle. Amber with light beige head. Caramel, very harsh booze, mild hops. Too harsh.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of alcohol, caramel, and more booze. Flavour is extremely harsh and boozy, with lots of alcohol, caramel, and brown sugar. Very boozy and harsh. Meh.

12 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Almost 5 years after I visited the new Counterbalance Brewery on a crawl and tried the original IPA. A bright golden orange pour with a thin fizz head. Aroma is a nice orange spice and bold malt. Plenty of orange peel like bitterness with the flavor of this IPA. It bites up front, but finishes smooth. Great flavor here. A hybrid of IPA coasts I'd say. Nice brew.

12 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Soft golden glow in appearance, pillows of foam head, a slight sunset haze. Nice hoppy floral nose here, inviting. Great balance of bold grains and citrus over floral hop characters. Smooth taste for sure, but a slight bite to it as well that I always find enjoyable. Lingers as a juicy hop constant. 6 pack worthy pale that I only ended up with a single can of in the mixed pack department. Bummer. We all make mistakes. They certainly did not on this beer however. Delicious!
