Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy dull golden color. The aroma is loaded with vegetables, clearly infected; the closes thing I’m thinking of is classic infected beers from France. Dry and well carbonated mouthfeel; a bit spicy, but the flavor is overwhelmed by the infection, vegetable soup, tomatoes, blood.
.Undrinkable and unsellable.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out earthy hoppiness upfront, followed by rustic farmhouse yeast. Flavour brings out lots of dental floss and dental clinic notes, followed by rustic farmhouse yeast, and earthy notes. The dental notes are really strange, making this pretty put-offish. Not good.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light smoked malt notes with some light residuals sugar notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a mix of smoked malt with some residual sugar notes with light caramelized malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. I loved the mix between the sugar focus Dubbel and the smoked malt.

Belle surprise.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy yellow color beer with a large white foamy head with good carbonation. Aroma of wheat malt notes with some light sweet notes. Taste is a mix of light sweet notes with some wheat malt and light spices. Body is about average with good carbonation. A bit light on spices but well enjoyable overall.

Bottle: Poured a dirty light beige color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral hay notes with some cereal and light peppery notes is refreshing. Taste is also a mix of floral hay notes with some rustic cereal notes and some subtle peppery notes. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. Well-made and in-line with the label description – simple easy table beer for every day drinking.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy light beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry floral hops notes with some nice cereal and bready notes also noticeable. Taste is a good mix of cereal and bready notes with some dry hops notes with limited bitterness. Body is full with good carbonation. The Aramis hops are not memorable but the base beer is well brewed.
