Opaque orange, small white head. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, sweet, and surprisingly boozy. Mouth feel is flat, carb is extremely soft. Finish is medium bitter, sweet stone fruit, overly sweet cereals, and quite boozy.

Opaque orange, medium white head. Tropical nose, stone fruit, especially mango. Soft mouth feel and carb. Low bitterness, alcohol is extremely well hidden. Peach and mango finish, super juicy.

Very yeasty, and fruity. Light tropical fruit, brett doesn’t add much. No tartness or funk, just some soft tropical fruit and yeasty, bready esters. Meh.

Clear golden pour, with a huge white head. Very floral, and green, not of papaya, and grapes. Hints of vanilla and wood? What the? Carb and mouth feel are extremely effervescent, to the point it’s hard to drink. I’m wondering if this is a touch infected, that would explain the odd wood, and vanilla and crazy carb. Finish is a touch buttery, with low bitterness and a slightly vinous hop pellet flavour. This is a mess.

(Can - in 2024 this is 6% ABV) Pours slightly hazy yellow golden with loose white head. Pleasant aroma of lime with notes of bread. Good mouthfeel with medium body and plenty of carbonation. Taste, like aroma, is dominantly (and pleasantly) lime. There’s lactose notes too. Easy drinking and very pleasant

Dark brown colour with little, ruby-copper highlights. A creamyish, mocha-coloured beige head, good stay and lacing. Chocolate aromas over roasted malt base giving some mild dark fruits, nuttiness. Not overly sweet in the flavours with mostly the roasted barley, hints of milk chocolate and tad cacao bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth, velvety with just enough building dryness in the finish. A touch of grassiness lingers. Not as hoppy, bitter, grassy as some of the other Nocturna in this series, which is good for this one. A good Imperial Milk Stout with well-balanced chocolate notes.

Clean, dark brown colour with copper highlights. The head is warm beige, frothy, lasting enough, leaving a creamy, thin coat over the brew. Malty aromas at first, with the roasted barley and minty-herbal hops coming out after breathing a bit. Silky mouthfeel, on the thinner side and good building dryness in the finish. Hints of nuttiness as well felt everywhere. Quite hoppy, getting stronger as I sip - big grassiness. The roasted malt base lingers. A decent Baltic Porter with lots of hoppiness, dryness.

Second one of this Nocturna series, unfortunately gushed all over the place. Dark brown colour with a ruby highlight, some head and not much stay and lacing. Amaretto nose with a tad spiciness. The taste is kind of watery with a little peppers building in the finish. Some chocolate comes out in the aromas, continuing into the taste, with a touch of warming in the end. Was expecting way more from this one, and preferred Beauregard's Cacao Habanero for the real heat.

First of this new-labelled Nocturna series, pouring a dark brown colour with copper-ruby highlights. The head is mocha-coloured, frothy, long lasting and leaving some nice lacing clouds. Coffee nose with the roasted malts coming out after breathing. Hints of vanilla, cacao and even bananas - maybe wheat. The taste shows roasted barley, coffee, bitter chocolate and grassiness from the hops. Not too sweet for a dessert beer, more on the bitter cacao side with good dryness in the finish - so not syrupy at all.

A hazed golden stout with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light vanilla and light mineral notes, pleasant. Can at Bières et Saveurs de Chambly 2023.
