It’s our privilege to be the community liaison for beer and beer culture and we don’t take this role lightly. The beers we make are a direct reflection of the values and personalities of you –our customers and our community.
Our beers are fresh and delicious because we make them using the best ingredients for everything we produce. Which isn’t hard here in Alberta. We are literally surrounded by a sea of barley, making (in our opinion) Calgary the ‘Last Best’ opportunity for the craft brewing industry and brewers like us.
In fact, ‘Last Best’ goes all the way back to the turn of the 20th century when the Canadian government launched ‘The Last Best West’ campaign, calling Calgary the last best chance in the modern world for homesteaders to lay roots and shape their futures.

473ml can. Pours a clear ruby-brown with a medium, foamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, cocoa, dark fruit and earth. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, caramel, ash, earth, dark fruit, a hint of cocoa and day-old coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Clean, well balanced and easy to drink.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with yeast chunks that sink to the bottom and a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Dank aroma of bready pale malt, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, orange, grapefruit and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, earthy yeast and pine resin in a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a soft, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and easy to drink. ABV is well hidden.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, ecru head that laces. Mild fruity aroma of pale malt, mandarin orange, pineapple, light lemon and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, peach, mandarin orange, grapefruit, light lemon and piney hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light body with a thin texture and average carbonation. More of a Pale Ale than IPA, but it's refreshing and crushable. Just ok for me.

On tap. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Mild aroma of biscuit malt, lemon and floral hops. Mild, sweet flavour of biscuit malt, lemon, grass and a hint of pine in a dry, floral hop finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation. Pretty simple. Just ok for me.

Clear orange beer, big creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, lots of orange peel, bit resinous. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, bit oxidized, malty touch, dry, resinous hops. Aftertaste: malty, bitter, dry, some fruity notes, orange peel, bit medicinal. Probably better when younger than 5 months.

On tap at Last Best, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out German lager yeast, bready notes, and straw. Flavour is fairly dry, with straw and sweet cereal malts. The yeast is correctly utilized, but it's not a terribly interesting beer.

On tap at Last Best, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of toffee and a hint of earthy coffee. Flavour is very English, with lots of English bready malt, toasted caramel, a hint of cocoa and espresso. Smooth and rounded. This is a very nice porter.

On tap at Last Best, pours s clear amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal hops, some vegetal notes, and bready malt. Flavour reveals a big cabbage crunch, with herbal hops, and bready malt. Herbal and malty. Not good.
