Bottle from West End Liquor, Vancouver
Cloudy red-amber color, medium sized head. Mild malt aroma, more hop resins. Good body strength, a lot of caramel flavor, a bit of roasty malt, strong bitterness.
Too dark for my preference, but clean and well brewed.
Imperial Amber.

650mL bottle, pours a filthy orangey brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is over-malted, with sweet caramel, herbal and spicy hops. Flavour is decently balanced, with a big caramely bready malt backbone paving the way for earthy, herbal hops. Lots of dry hopping that is noticeable on the finish. Strikes more as a hoppy imperial amber, but this is well-done for what it is. Good stuff.

On tap at VCBW Festival, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Nose brings light faded honey and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is really boring, with light faded honey notes and dry toasted malt. Nothing interesting here - very very boring. Pointless beer.
