On tap at Honey Moon. Pours clear pale blonde. Apple cores and granny smith apple skins on the nose. Flavour is thin, like pressed apple water. A dry cider does not need to be lifeless.

On tap at Honey Moon. Pours clear deep gold. Caramelized honey on the nose; very floral. Flavour is very floral, honey is caramelized, but quite dry and attenuated. Very nice, like an off-dry metheglin.

On tap at Honey Moon. Pours clear pale blonde. A fairly rough fermented honey on the nose. Flavour has fermented honey, a bit like digestive biscuits. It's fine, but pretty rough around the edges.

On tap at Honey Moon. Pours golden blonde with a slight haze. Strong lavender and fermented honey on the nose. Flavour is sharply floral, great lavender character; honey is harsh, but works well with the lavender. I'm here for it.

On tap at Honey Moon [labeled as a cider, but probably the mead]. Pours clear pale blonde. Cloves, nutmeg, and apple cores on the nose. Flavour has a thin layer of spices, attenuated honey; not getting much apples – did they mix this up? It's fine, but not good.

On tap at Honey Moon, pours a hazy pinkish amber, almost no head. Aroma brings out lots of jammy black currant upfront, with a touch of acidity. Flavour is along the same lines, with tart black currant with a nice jamminess. Simple stuff, but it's decent.

On tap at Honey Moon, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dusty pear skins, little else. Flavour is loaded with apple and pear skins, with a dry, crisp, dusty character on the finish. Not much going on here.

Bottle at Honey Moon, pours a clear pale amber, no head. Aroma is very port-like, with lots of dark berries, some pith and red wine. Flavour is bone dry and super vinous, with tons of wood, dark vinous notes, bitterness and alcohol. Very boozy and harsh. It's fun in one respect, but it another, it's harsh as hell. Intense.
