Hazy blond color. The aroma is mild, with some cereals, and a fruity touch that is usually not found in Cologne Kölsch but that ends up being refreshing. Dry mouthfeel, quite weak; light malt flavor, ordinary bitterness, without hop qualities, and getting lost in the final, when it tastes mostly like a mellow macro Lager and doesn’t invite to drink more of it.
One of the most difficult styles to brew, and this one doesn’t nail it.

Hazy deep blond color with compact head. Light malt aroma, a bit cheesy. Soft mouthfeel, possibly a nitro mix, rather dry, not much malt flavor, enough bitterness but the hops don’t express enough quality. Paper feeling in the final, astringent. Balanced, at least.
Boring Pale Ale that doesn’t try to be anything.

Black color with a tan nitro head. Roasted malt aroma and roasted malt flavor, thin, ashy, burnt, with metallic and astringent final. Not much going on here, and they even put it on nitro which makes things worse.
Not interesting.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a hazy dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma is light, with toasted grains and cereal malt. Flavour is on the sweet side due to the cereal malt upfront, with straw and biscuity notes. Clean and drinkable. Standard kolsch.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours black with a creamy tan head. Nose is quite roasty, with oats and light roasted malt. Flavour is quite roasty, with toasted malt, licorice and a touch of stale coffee grounds. Super creamy palate - pretty sure this is nitro'd. Balanced and drinkable, though feels rather heavy. Good stuff.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is nearly non-existent - I can't get anything discernible. Flavour is barely more than this, with restrained floral hops and a touch of fruitiness. Really gentle and light on the palate. It's fine, but what's the point of this?

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings notes of syrupy caramel malt and diacetyl. Flavour is pretty much the same - man, these guys cannot do hop-forward beers. Creamy, buttery palate. Not impressive.
