The past two ratings are not indicative of this beer. This is a good double ipa. A really nice amber/copper pour, with a big off white head. Upfront is a big dose of sticky pine resin hops, and some good sweet bready malts. The body is a tad thick, and the carb is perfect. The finish is very bitter, think grapefruit pith. As it warms some juicy citrus comes through with another big wallop of sticky pine resins. Well balanced, a good beer.

Finish is lightly bitter, with some spicy malts and some grassy, piney hops. Subtle fruit, and tartness, some minerals, and wet paper. A nice dark saison with some subtle spice from the rye.

Black pour, small brown head. Charred, almost burnt malts, notes of vanilla, and soy, with subtle sweet bourbon. Thin mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is sweet, lightly bitter, with more roasty malts, and vanilla. The bourbon and woodies come through stronger as the beer warms.

Black pour, small oily, beige head. Semi sweet chocolate aroma, sweet, roast dark malts, and some soy, with hints of smoke. Label. Says milk stout, and I get no sign of lactose, and it’s not as sweet as I expected. The finish has a light bitterness with more of the cocoa being upfront.
