Bottle shared by Jcwattsrugger, thanks for the opportunity. This sample smells wonderful. Light vanilla and rye with maple and roasty chocolate with hints of dark dried fruit. The flavor is all of that but also overwhelming with maple sugary sweetness. It is sticky and there isn't enough rye or roast to cut through it. Glad to have tried it but also glad I didn't have to finish a full glass of it.

Nutty toffee malt and fresh hay aroma. Dark amber with nice white head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter tinny hay flavor. Light body. Non-offensive but basic.

12 oz. 6-pack from HyVee in Ankeny. Big nose of PNW hops under the cap. Pineapple and papaya nose when I pour a big heady glass. Golden lawnmower beer color under a thick head. Taste is not quite a "hop bomb," but is still pretty big in those tropical fruits, with a bit of old-fashioned hop bitterness. Just a little extra alcohol and malt makes this sticky, to bring up a resiny note as we go along. Just this one bottle is pleasantly intoxicating on a muggy evening. Good job.

A lightly hazed dark orange amber ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity orange malt with loads of resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with loads resinous pungent floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice. Bottle at Dark Lord Day 2018.
