12 oz. can purchased in Austin, TX. Pours a clear very dark ruby red color with a giant beige head and annoyingly great retention. Spotty lacing. Strong peanut butter aroma. Dominant creamy peanut butter flavor (but not as strong as the aroma suggested) with a light spice mix. Unexpected dry finish. Smooth and lightly crisp. The 6.1% ABV is invisible. Pretty good. An interesting spin on the peanut butter brown ale theme, but not an improvement IMHO.

Can (courtesy of blutt59). Sour milk, lemon, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet citrus, biscuit malt, and very light bitter straw flavor. Okay body. Decent but not much like a typical Hefeweizen.

Shaker pint draft at Noble Rey Brewing in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a clear golden copper with a smallish white head. The aroma is malt grain, earth, a bit of pine, and general floral herbal towards the back. The taste is malty right away, picks up some toffee caramel soft sweetness, and then moves towards the earth, herbal, and pine. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation, and earth mineral finish. Nice Cal Common.

Shaker pint draft at Noble Rey Brewing in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a murky yellow orange, OJ looking with a smallish white head. The aroma citrus tart, floral, wheat grain, and general yeast acidity. The taste is the bright tart citrus, quickly moving to wheat clove floral Saison notes, and swinging back to the tartness in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation and the bright tart finish. Easy drinking and fun beer.
