On tap at vintage estate. A little more orange than a pale lager. Creamy thin head. Has a sweet cotton candy aroma. Interesting melting powder sugar mixed with vanilla er something spices. Quite unique. Very fine lacing. Has a slight bitter undertone. Some medicinal linger on the finish. Even so, its not as bad as I thought it would be. Yes a decent holiday beer. Soft mild creamy co2. Good overall Christmass beer experience.

A creamy looking darker but not too dark pour with a creamy thin head. Smell is a little bit of slag. Big bursting flavor of bitter malty alky, does not hide the alky well. Stronger beer impressions. Smooth but aver the top in a few flavor aspects. Palate does have a little co2 hidden in there. Bitter medicine malt linger for a finsh.

On tap at vintage estate, nice place and nice eye candy. Slightly yellah and cloudy. No head. Medium pine aroma. Bitter and strong yet not on par with many very rude ipas. Nice lacing chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Mildly on style for an IPA. More acceptable for a lager lover. On style. Long bitter finish with an oily mouth coating palte.

From a bottle, 12 oz brown with out a twist off. Nice clean appearance. Strong fruity hop sharp bite that is quick to settle. Good amount of CO2 makes this drinkable, Almost like a pilsner prick. More linger aftrer each glug. Smell is fairly crisp.

Bottle. Pours a light amber/orange with a thinish head of off-white froth and aromas that are bland... apple juice and grain dust is about it. Flavor is pretty blah, too. Lots of apple and caramel malt with a little bit of a dusty edge to it (that silo dust feeling all over again.) This is pretty mediocre, even for an amber. There’s little plot development, which sparks little interest on my part.

Bottle from Vintage Estate. Nice clean sweet aroma. Not really red, just kind of dark pale. Fairly malty. Some very slight hints of tartness in the background. I like that! Good amount of sizzly CO2. Even though it has a bit of bitterness after each slug, it comes across rather friendly during the session. Not bad overall. If we could only reduce that medium bitter finish. Well, at least it gives it a unique personality.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a little bit of a head that quickly dies down to a few bubbles swirling around on the surface. Aromas of light malt... honey and biscuit with a little grass. Flavor is an odd mix of the honey sweetness with a bit of a twang (lemon and grass) that is a little discordant. It’s like the beer is being tugged in two directions and leaves kind of a mess on the palate. It’s not awful, but it’s a far shake from a relaxing way to end a crazy Tuesday.

Firkin version at Barley’s 8th Annual Mini RAF (05/22/10): This beer is a murky amber-brown color with a thin beige head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruity hops aroma with some malty behind it. Medium body with flavors of earthy malt, caramel and piney hops. The finish is sweet caramel malt with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma with a touch of malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops and citrus flavor as well as a mild malty undertone. The finish is short and hoppy with a citrusy aftertaste. Straightforward IPA overall.
