330 ml bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with big head. Aromas of sweet malts, raisins, copper and brown sugar. Flavors of raisins, light caramel, and malt extract. Nice lighter Belgian to go with dinner.

Bouteille 333cl de Willems, BB 03/07/2015. Another gusher. Cuivrée léger, col faible beige. Arôme est fruité noir dominant sur un malté léger, léger biscuité et sucre brun accompagné de levure qui sont un peu trop présent. Palais est trop effervescent, malt caramel, sucre brun sur un fruité noir oscillant vers le raisin sec et une petite note épicée. Caramel léger, toffee avec ce côté crystal. Sec et poussiéreux sur la fin tjrs avec ce côté fruité.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 25/06/2014 de Willems. Gusher alert. Orangée clair, col épais crémeux beige. Arôme offre un fruité assez étrange avec cette impression de fermenté, fruits secs sur un soupçon d’épice. Palais tire vers un côté vieille levure et vieux caramel, malt de caractère pâle et pils très basique. Garde un profil léger biscuité presque céréale. Le houblon est léger sur une amertume modérée avec les 7% étant bien marqués. Garde un côté noble ponctué d’une épice légère.

Pours dark brown red glow Small white head Smell is a tiny bit chocolate Taste is sweet , sugar , bit earthy , some chocolate . Soft carbo . Nice . Bit weak though

Bottle shared with Deanso. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of raisins, toffee, overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Thin creamy white head. Hazy amber pour. Nice and drinkable but nothing special.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy golden with an off white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, light banana, caramel and light citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

(Bottle, Oude Arsenaal, Antwerpen, 24 Oct 2013) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, raisins, brown sugar and dark bread. Malty taste with caramel, brown sugar, raisins, prunes, dried fruit and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Well made Belgian brown ale. Quite nice.

(Draught at Groote Witte Arend, Antwerpen, 24 Oct 2013. 6.0%) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, cherries and dark fruit. Fruity, malty taste with caramel, candy sugar and a touch of cherries. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Low bitterness. Quite balanced and tasty, with a gentle cherry character and not as sweet as expected. Quite nice.
