A little lime and some straw. Kind of boring. Pours golden with decent head. Light cloying sour finish. Tap at Houston airport.

Aromas are malt, pine resin, ash and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose. Bittersweet. Full-bodied and good carbonation. Amber IPA. Decent but nothing special.

Bottle to shaker. Pours a medium gold with a half finger of quickly dissipating frothy white head. Not much aroma to speak of. Some light bread and light fruity notes. Taste is bready with some light fruity and herbal notes. Thin bodied and more fizzy than I expected. This is an intro-to-craft beer. Drinkable, but nothing to seek out.

I spotted this 1 pint, 3.2 oz can at the better HEB in town this past weekend. The can is sleeved-up to keep it cool while I do my review. Great Heights snifter ready, I pour and see an unclear dark gold body with an appropriate cover of icy white foam. The nose is rather full, there is cedar, nectarines, apricots and field. The taste is mostly WC inclined with a touch of NE style. Yellow fruit, distinct hops, grain, a bit of hard candy, malt, guava and straw. Nice to see a decent bitterness, I miss the old days. A Texas brewery of course, I’ve had several of their brews. This is the best one and I’m not a big IPA fan.
