Description
In March 2016, co-founders Bryan McCormick and Noel Garcia were introduced through mutual friends. They made it official in April and immediately started brewing on a one-barrel system.

After hearing about the Barnone project at Agritopia, Noel called Joe Johnston to see if there were any spots left. Thankfully there was and three days later it was a done deal! While construction on Barnone continued, Noel & Bryan upgraded to a 10-barrel system at their production facility and cranked out beers for their grand opening in November of 2016.

Pint can pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up brown sugar, plum, booze and flowing into date like earthy spiciness. The taste delivers smooth sweet rounded barrel booze and sweet plum and apple fruitiness. Behind those notes are thin layers of reduced sugar sweet slickness. This is a solid sipper with a nice balance of flavors. It could benefit from a bit of age in order to blend the various sweet and boozy notes a bit more.

Pint can pours with a murky deep copper to mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy malt blunted oak, molasses, bourbon and the more oak. The flavor offers up some spicy oak nuanced bitter spicy oak and then malts and molasses. To midway a pleasing level of bitter hops wells up to balance out the sweet malts and the mild level of sweet fruity esters goodness. I ends with an up welling of booze and bourbon joining in along with the other notes. This is nice but is strong with the bitter spicy oak and booze.

32oz crowler pours with a clear deep copper brown body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of spicy english ale yeast, cracker and biscuit as well as light notes of molasses, caramel and toasted bread. The taste delivers similar flavors like biscuit, spicy crystal malts and spicy yeast flowing into sweet malts, a thin earthy wet tobacco sensation and estery sweet plum. This comes together nicely.
