Description
In March 2016, co-founders Bryan McCormick and Noel Garcia were introduced through mutual friends. They made it official in April and immediately started brewing on a one-barrel system.

After hearing about the Barnone project at Agritopia, Noel called Joe Johnston to see if there were any spots left. Thankfully there was and three days later it was a done deal! While construction on Barnone continued, Noel & Bryan upgraded to a 10-barrel system at their production facility and cranked out beers for their grand opening in November of 2016.

32oz crowler pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up a bit of citrus, spicy hops and floral hoppiness. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of bitter floral hops and spicy hops. The hops are nice. Into the finish the spicy hop bitterness grows just as bready and cracker like malts do. Solid Pale with plenty of hoppy goodness. I can drink more of this anytime.

Crowler, filled at the brewery, pours with a nicely hop hazed copper to gold body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up tangelo and clementine backed up by a nice malty note. The taste delivers juicy tangelo and clementine like citrus hops riding just above a bitter hop grapefruit like sensation. To midway the bitter hops pick up a floral and spicy hoppiness that adds another facet to the experience. Into the finish a mild malt note bubbles to the surface where a slight cracker malt edge is revealed from time to time creating a pleasing play against the hoppiness. Solid IPA.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up juicy citrus hops, some pine hops and then a dash of cantaloupe. The taste is smooth and chewy with rich hoppy depth. I get some juicy tangelo and cantaloupe rolling quickly into a pleasing blend of bitter grapefruit and pine hops. The depth is enhanced by the malty backbone and sense of booze. This is a pretty good IIPA. I’d love more but they don’t allow it in order to stretch what they have.
