Description
Our mission is to brew beers built for the venturesome beer drinker, those unafraid to stray from the beaten path of simple flavors established by breweries much larger in size but not in creative energy.

As our name implies, we will be brewing at a slower rate of production than any of these monstrous breweries-designing and creating our hand crafted ales at one relatively slow pace, our "single speed", allowing each to emerge as a small artisanal batch formulated from recipes that include fresh, local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

Crowler. Pours a clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma is mild with bread and grain notes with some grass, light pine and coconut coming through. Flavor has a growing coconut but main early grains and a bit of grass underlying.

(Thanks, Jim! ozzy70) Can. A- Earthy, slightly vegetal, mild berry. A- Red color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Cocoa, earthy, mild berries, cherry. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, earthy finish. O- Whoa. This sure as heck tasted like a Tootsie Pop. In fact, it took me a moment to realize the name meaning and flavors in here. Great idea. The cocoa came across with almost an earthy vegetal coffee like note but the cherry and berries and even the vanilla snuck through afterwards. Almost like eating a tootsie pop from the inside out.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 11/26/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, corn, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an excellent cream ale. All around great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great clean malt/grain showcase, with nice earthy hop presence/balance, and restrained yeast fruitiness. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example.
